Mix and mingle with over 20,000 bike enthusiasts and bike-curious people this summer for Oakland's annual and free festival, Pedalfest. Come down to Jack London Square on August 3, 2019, from 11 am to 6 pm for a day of bike shenanigans, races, dare-devil stunts, and live music on a pedal-powered stage. This festive Bay Area event draws in crowds for a fun community event featuring the celebration of bikes, cycling, food, and family. Best of all, all proceeds from Pedalfest 2019 go to Bike East Bay, a non-profit organization to make communities across the Bay bike-friendly. The festivities include delicious bites from local food vendors, a pedal-powered sound stage with live music, a kid's bike rodeo, safety training, and an incredible collection of custom-built and vintage bikes. Events include a Bike Decorating Parade beginning at 11 am through Jack London Square, followed by a Kid's Rodeo with a bike safety course at 1 pm. The little ones will love the Pedal-powered spin art, and those over 21 will enjoy the local craft brews served throughout the square.
