Take a public guided walking tour of the University of California, Berkeley, which covers the main buildings of the campus and is available throughout the year from Monday through Saturday. If you’re unable to make that tour, there are several self-guided tours available. Sports fans will definitely want to check out the Memorial Stadium Tour for an up-close-and-personal look at where the Cal Bears play their home football games. Details are at https://visit.berkeley.edu/.

There is parking on campus but it’s not very easy to find. And if you do find it, you'll have to pay for it. What’s more, there are limited parking spots on the street. That said, you’ll be much better off taking public transportation. From Hawthorn Suites Oakland/Alameda, you can take the bus (AC Transit). Get more information, including schedules, by going online at 511.org or by calling 5-1-1.
