What: Ever feel nostalgic about haunted house parties from your youth? Have your senses blasted with mystical music as you fumble around in darkness, dodging ghosts and evading goblins at this year's Teen Haunted House! This year's theme is "Haunted Hospital"—bring your family and support the work of teenage volunteers from across Alameda.
This spook-tacular event is a city tradition that brings youth together while providing the community with a fun-filled night. On average, this event involves approximately 80 volunteers and over 2000 hours of community service earned. Funds raised from the night go to supporting events for teens
Entrance fees are $5 for youth, $7 for adults. Sponsors of the event include Alameda Recreation and Park District, South Shore Center, Alameda Youth Committee, Alameda County Industries, and the Friends of the Parks Foundation. Proceeds go to Alameda Youth Committee, which an organization that aims to provide activities and volunteer opportunities to Alameda teens.
