The 2nd Friday Art walk will also take place on the 13th. Less structured than First Fridays, this exciting event features artists from Oakland and Alameda who have opened themselves up to the public ad hoc. The path and stops change each week, so be sure to stay in the loop of this exciting event by checking the link here.
The West End Arts and Entertainment District has worked tirelessly to organize this event and to bring the community together through art. Their website describes the organization as an alliance of creators, venues, and people who promote more visual and performing art in Alameda. They organize a multitude of events throughout the year in order to achieve their goal. These events highlight the community values of Alameda and encourage local artists. If you can't make it to this event, be sure to check their webpage or Facebook for updates.
